A Bit About Me

I am a Law Clerk Specialist graduate with practical experience in criminal litigation support, drug regulation, public policy and legal research. I also bring an interdisciplinary background in UX design, industrial design and marketing, which has strengthened my abilities in research, systems thinking, problem-solving and clear communication.

During my legal internship at Lewin & Sagara LLP, I supported counsel with criminal and regulatory matters involving controlled substances and drug-related law. My responsibilities included legal and policy research, drafting and revising documents, reviewing and organizing disclosure and evidentiary materials, developing chronologies, preparing defence binders, supporting hearing preparation and communicating with clients and court staff. I also have experience conducting research and drafting in family law, along with a practical understanding of family-law procedures, court documentation and the litigation process.

My legal education includes training in civil litigation, family law, corporate law, wills and estates, real estate law, business law—including torts and contracts—and debtor–creditor law. While, I have developed a particular interest in drug regulation, criminal law, and public policy, I remain enthusiastic about expanding my experience across a range of practice areas and building a broad, adaptable law clerk skill set.

My design and marketing background allows me to approach legal and policy matters from a human-centred perspective. I maintain a long-term interest in research examining how law, policy, communication and thoughtfully designed systems can contribute to harm reduction and improved public safety.

I am currently seeking full-time and part-time Law Clerk opportunities. I am also available to support busy lawyers and legal teams with contract, project-based and overflow assignments involving legal research, drafting, document review, policy analysis, citation support and litigation file development.
